Modular HTPC case with elegant design

Hi-Fi, video, and PC technology are increasingly merging. As part of this development, the computer is moving into the living room and serving as a multimedia centre there. Typical gaming cases quickly seem out of place. HTPC cases are ideal for living room use as home theatre systems because they are compact and can be placed discreetly.

With the SilverStone SST-ML10BB, the case specialist offers a stylish, high-quality, and functionally equipped HTPC case. The design is straightforward and sophisticated, as seen for example in the front panel made of glossy black plastic. The power and reset buttons are located at the lower right front, while the two USB 3.0 ports are on the left side of the front.

The ML10B is a clever and well-thought-out evolution of the ML09. Despite the unchanged dimensions, SilverStone has managed to rearrange the internal layout, adding a second expansion slot, allowing for significantly more powerful low-profile graphics cards to be installed. The small form factor design otherwise accommodates Micro-ATX motherboards. Using the VESA mounting plate, the case can also be attached to the back of compatible monitors, keeping things tidy and making hiding the case a breeze.

The interior is also extremely flexible. Besides the cage for two 2.5-inch drives and the option to install three 50 mm fans on the right side to ventilate the motherboard, it is, as with the predecessor model, especially the ingenious multi-purpose bracket above the motherboard that offers the Milo ML10B numerous possibilities. Here, either two additional 2.5-inch or one 3.5-inch drive, a slim slot-in optical drive, or a 120 mm fan can be installed. For the latter, the case has corresponding ventilation openings in the lid. Depending on the configuration of the 4-in-1 bracket, the CPU cooler can be up to 63 mm high.
