With the Phanteks EX5, you build your gaming PC differently than in a conventional case. The motherboard, graphics card, and power supply are housed in separate chambers. Phanteks EX5: PC case with separate hardware chambers

In the Phanteks EX5, the key components do not share the same internal space. The motherboard, graphics card, and power supply each have their own chambers. The main area houses the motherboard, CPU, memory, and M.2 SSDs. The graphics card is located in a separate unit. Below, Phanteks places the power supply along with a 2.5-inch and a 3.5-inch drive.

Targeted cooling with only four case fans

The cooling concept relies on direct airflow instead of many case fans. A 120mm fan behind the motherboard directs air to the rear of the board. From there, it flows past the CPU, voltage regulators, and memory. For CPU cooling, there is additional space next to the motherboard for a 360mm AiO radiator with three 120mm fans.

The graphics card and power supply also draw fresh air directly through their chambers. Air-permeable mesh panels support the existing coolers of the components. This reduces the mixing of warm exhaust air from different parts.

Tidy gaming PC with ARGB lighting

The layout helps you keep visible cables and tubes out of view. The tubes of an AiO can be routed over the top area to the radiator and hidden behind the designated covers. Two integrated ARGB strips add colourful accents. RGB lighting on your graphics card remains visible through the tempered glass.

Space for ATX power supply and drives

The lower chamber houses an ATX power supply up to 210 mm in length. It also provides space for a 2.5-inch SSD and a 3.5-inch hard drive. This visually separates the power supply and drives from the main area and creates additional room for excess cables.
