Clicky Switches for Mechanical Keyboards
Clicky switches provide both tactile and audible feedback when a key is pressed. An integrated click mechanism produces the characteristic clicking sound, while the tactile bump can be felt during the keystroke. How pronounced the feedback feels and how loud the click is depends on the respective switch model and its construction. Differences in actuation force, actuation point and total travel also influence the typing feel.

- Tactile switches: with a noticeable tactile bump but without an additional clicking sound
- Silent switches: with a dampened keystroke for reduced noise
